ConnDOT Biennial bridge inspection
Mr. Saleh has been involved in ConnDOT complex bridge safety inspection and structure evaluation projects including moveable bridges since 1987. He has led bridge inspection teams, and managed a number of teams, performed Q.C/Q.A Inspections, performed load rating analysis, proposed bridge improvement, prepared cost estimates, compiled maintenance memorandum, recommended solutions pertaining to bridge rehabilitation, and consulted with bridge safety officials on various transportation issues.
ConnDOT Metro-North Railroad Bridge Inspection
Mr. Saleh has managed the inspection teams for Metro-North Railroad bridges, on the New Haven line. This project encompassed field inspection, condition rating, normal and maximum load rating analysis for Cooper E80 loading using "AREMA" guidelines, proposed bridge improvement, prepared cost alternatives, recommended list of repairs to ConnDOT maintenance crews.

Mr. Saleh has managed the inspection teams for off system Railroad bridges state wide. This project encompassed of field inspection, mechanical and electrical inspection of the Middletown swing bridge, condition rating, normal and maximum load rating analysis for Cooper E80 loading using "AREMA" guidelines, proposed bridge improvement, compiled list of deficiencies and recommendations, prepared repair estimates, recommended list of repairs to ConnDOT maintenance crews.
ConnDOT Statewide Sign and Structure Inspection
Mr. Saleh has managed the inspection teams for overhead cantilever and span sign structures of various types statewide. The project encompassed of field inspection, condition report and structural analysis for as inspected condition, CSR ratio of ≤1.

Mr. Saleh has managed inspection teams for MHD bridges statewide. This project encompassed of field inspection, condition rating of various types of bridge structures.
Maine DOT Rockland Branch, In-Depth Bridge Inspection
Mr. Saleh has managed the inspection of twenty-two railroad bridges including six moveable structures as part of restoration of this historic rail line for recreational use.

Bradley International Airport Airfield Lighting Vault Location, Windsor Locks, Connecticut
RHS is part of Urban Engineers to provide structural design for the reconstruction of Terminal B of Bradley Airport. Our first assignment is to provide construction documents for the 25’x104’ masonry structure (vault) to accommodate a 21 ton generator to supply the airport airfield and the proposed terminal B. The generator will be supported on 3 ft. thick reinforced slab to dissipate the generator vibration.
Roadway and Drainage Improvement in Wolcott, Connecticut
The project scope included roadway improvement of an approximate 8,100 linear feet of roadways which have substandard pavement and poor drainage conditions in many areas of the project. Also included an installation of 4500 linear feet of water main. This project is located within the regulated floodplain and floodway areas of the Mad River and Old Tannery Brook. A comprehensive Hydraulic/hydrology study of the Mad River and Old Tannery Brook is also included.

The proposed site development included 18 duplex style building with their associated parking garages, roadway layout, drainage systems, sanitary sewer systems, water supply system, grading, wetland mitigation, and soil erosion control, design of retaining wall structures, landscaping, and outdoor lighting and other utility services.

Bridge replacement with adjacent prestressed concrete box beams. The proposed roadway profile has been lifted and span length has been increased to improve on the hydraulic opening. The substructure is founded on piles.
Replacement of Ashfield Road over Clarks Brook, Buckland, Mass
Bridge replacement with spread prestressed box beams of composite construction. Abutments are integral with the superstructure and founded on piles.

The rehabilitation of 130-year-old bowstring truss included replacement of exiting stringers and floorbeams in kind and refurbishing of exiting trusses to meet AASHTO H15 loading while maintaining its historic significance.

Mr. Saleh as part of HNTB team, was involved in the earlier phase for the reconstruction of terminal A. his duties included the design of a continuous eight span viaduct structures part of Southwest Airlines expansion project.

Metro-North Harmon Shop, New York
RHS Consulting Design was retained by Macton Corp. to design Jacking lifts and the body stand for jacking of the Metro-North cars required for maintenance. The design was in accordance to AREMA specifications which included the hydraulic lifts and the supports structure to accommodate a safety factor ratio of 5:1. The jacking system was modeled in STAAD to accommodate Cooper E-80 loading.
